Blogging about politics and criticizing religion in my country is tantamount to baring your ass in front of Dick Cheney while he's holding a Winchester. So I thought, hey why not do both? Here's a little limerick I made up about a local Christian "pretty boy" politician who was caught by his wife for taking naughty photos of his maid and also declared he would step out of politics if he lost in the recent elections (which he did):

Lost domestic help for racy shoots

Blew all the aunties'* votes and now oops!

Hi!  My name's Olivia and I live in the United States.  I'm doing an oral presentation in 2 days about Singapore and I'm scared to death!  Not only b/c I don't like speaking in front of people, but because this oral is our final exam and I HAVE to get an A!  The thing is it has to be creative...if it's not we lose 20 points, lol.  A little harsh...anyway, I've been going to different blogs of people who live in Singapore, and was wondering if you would like to help.  You seem really cool...I'm into politics myself and HATE Cheney and Bush and am thoroughly annoyed with Conservative Christians.  Anyway, if you don't want to help or don't have time, that's totally fine, I understand.  If you would like to though, I'd really appreciate it.  I still don't exactly know what it is I'm doing for the presentation, but I thought it'd be a good start to ask some questions:

1.) What's your daily routine?  (On the weekdays and the weekends)
2.) What do you like to do in your free time?
3.) Is there a lot of diversity where you live and hang out, etc?
4.) Favorite family tradition?
5.) Favorite thing about Singapore?  Favorite thing about being Singaporean?
6.) Favorite cultural celebration?
7.) And finally, is there something you've always wanted to ask/say to an American?  Is there something you don't understand about Americans and the culture?  (By the way, I'm Burmese (from Burma, now called Myanmar) so I don't always understand these Americans either :)
